Little Explorers is also an excellent resource for elementary school teachers to introduce younger students to the World Wide Web in a controlled environment.

- CD Now -- This is probably the best online shopping spot for music (and now videos), but that's not why I'm listing it. I like it because it's also a nice database -- look up an artist and you get a list of nearly all (if not all) titles they've produced on CD, and in some cases cassette tape, laser video, and video tape. Even some imports are offered. The list usually includes information like release date, length, and even a complete track list. Some titles are rated, too. Of course it's all available to order online, too (at pretty good prices).

- The Outer Limits -- Have you been watching The Outer Limits TV show? This is the new one, not the old black and white one. It's cool! This is the official web site for them, with good graphics, episode information, showtimes, chat, and trivia games.

- electronic Gourmet Guide -- This is a monthly e-zine about gourmet cooking. Articles, columns, games, recipes, etc. Nice layout, although a non-loading graphic at the top kept it from displaying -- if you see this problem, just hit Stop after it says the page is done.

- Wacky Patent of the Month -- This one won't take much time or bandwidth, so it's worth a trip once a month. Read about some strange patents and theior inventors. (You can also look up previous months' "awards".) Also patenting info and inventors links.
- SharewareJunkies.com -- Go here to get quality in-depth reviews on all kinds of shareware, with ratings for Performance, User Friendliness, Cost, Ease of Installation, and Support. Updated several times per week. Covers DOS, Windows, OS/2, and Mac shareware. Also links to many other shareware sites.

- Macromedia - shockwave -- If you like animation, you should try the shockwave plug-in and find lots of shocked sites. Download the plugin from this page, and check out their shocked site of the day plus lists of thousands of shocked sites.
- Travelocity -- Looks like a great place to check out for travel info, including last-minute deals, discount newsletter, reservations, etc. Has Shockwave clips.
- Supermodel.Com -- Whether you want to be a supermodel or just like looking at them, this is the best place to go. Also listen to Real Audio clips and do some shopping, read their newsletter and interviews, and more.
- The Travel Channel -- Online companion to the cable TV channel, this is a great place to go for travel information.
- American Cancer Society -- It sounds boring, but this really is a cool page, with Smoke Scream, Breast Cancer and Prostate Cancer information, programs and events, and school programs. Also some cool Shockwave clips.
- Gamelan -- Great resource for web developers -- Lots of info and links to Java, VRML, ActiveX, etc. resources and example pages. (Not sure if this site itself implements all of the mentioned features, but it has links to plenty that do.)
